Our first six weeks of existence was a busy one with our kick-off Happy Hour on the 5 th, our Studio Training Meeting on the 12 th, and 15 photoshoots planned for July and August. Virtually all are full at this point, and frankly, I can't add any more, since I have to attend each one. It's my plan to get some of the other photographers in a position to lead some of the sessions.
I would like to thank Bob R for volunteering to organize a monthly get together to critique our shooting efforts. Bob has started a discussion group, and there is a page where you can upload your photos on the site. Bob is checking out locations and equipment now, and will be communicating with you soon.
Thanks also to Amy Medders who has also volunteered to organize our Mansfield reformatory trip in September. If you are not familiar with this place, you can go to www.ohiostatereformatory.org to take a look. I scouted it out a few weeks ago, and it should be a great place to shoot. There is a photo album on the site with a few of the shots I took that day. This is the prison where The Shawshank Redemption was filmed, and a great place to shoot some high fashion.
