The UC Vegetarian Health Club is hosting the first-ever Cincinnati VegFest this year! Celebrate with us and bring your family and friends from outside of UC too, as this is a community-wide AND campus-wide event!
A VegFest is an annual vegetarian food festival held in numerous locations around the world including Chicago, Cleveland, Seattle, Portland, Detroit, Salt Lake City, Boston, New York, Jacksonville, Washington DC, and elsewhere! The festivals promote veganism and vegetarianism, healthy lifestyles, environmentalism, and community spirit. The Cincinnati VegFest will be promoting these things as well, but most importantly will be celebrating all of the healthy options and activities that Cincinnati has to offer, while also encouraging UC and the Cincinnati community to continue to make more positive changes in these areas!
This year's Cincinnati VegFest will be FREE ADMISSION. However, the parking garages nearby such as Stratford, Woodside, Campus Green, and others Parking Garages are not free. There is street parking all around the perimeter of the UC area, including on Clifton Avenue where the event is closest to. Clifton Avenue has some parking meters (depending on how close you park), and they are in operation on Saturdays. There is free street parking just beyond Clifton Avenue on Probasco St, Joselin Ave, Stratford Ave, Straight St, and elsewhere.
- Dogs are allowed on campus as long as they are on a leash and accompanied by their owner at ALL times.
Cincinnati VegFest 2013 will include:
- Vegan food and products from businesses all over the Cincinnati area (will include some free food!)
- Live bands and singers
