Eriyah wanted me to pass on the following information regarding her speaking tonight at Pecha Kucha. Check out the details here: http://www.pecha-kuch...
Here is the information from the website:
Pecha Kucha Columbus holds its event Thursday, November 8 at artist community 400 West Rich in Franklinton (400westrich.com).
Festivities kick off at 7:00 p.m. with live music by Sean Gardner (Winter Makes Sailors) and presentations begin at 7:30. Jessica Mathews of Two Wheels and Heels Columbus and Consider Biking is emceeing. Each speaker will follow the international Pecha Kucha format of showing 20 images and speaking about each image for 20 seconds.
Presenting tonight are: architect Michael Bongiorno with DesignGroup; Eriyah Flynn from Vegan Connection; poet Paula Lambert; rogue comedian Jay Schmidt (CivitasNow); Amy Spears from Ohio Roller Girls and Catherine Girves of Pedal Instead.
We thank these remarkable individuals for sharing their passion and creativity. Pecha Kucha Columbus is not a forum for sales pitches, commercial presentations, or self-promotional material but a place for ideas, creativity and inspiration.
What makes this particular PKN event special? It will run in tandem with the November Mixer for the Central Ohio Chapter of the American Planning Association, a nonprofit organization that advances the art and science of good planning by creating strong communities. We thank them for providing sound run by Columbus' very own Groove U. We thank Groove U for stepping up to help in this special PKN Columbus event.
Another reason why this Pecha Kucha is so special is the collaboration and synergy with Dinin' Hall -- a unique and innovative street food hub located at the southeast corner of 400 West Rich. They are hosting The Cheesy Truck, Swoop! Jeni's Ice Cream and Red Hot Food Truck who are selling delicious food and refreshments. Be sure to arrive early and hungry.
We thank Kris Howell for bringing THOUGHTco to screen print T-shirts for our guests throughout the evening ($5 for shirts brought from home and $12 to buy a new one).
We thank Scott Vayo for deejaying our event. Dancing is welcome.
We thank Chris Sherman for allowing us to use this awesome space of 400 West Rich.
Thank you for keeping Pecha Kucha running and for feeding the Thunderbucket. Thanks for bringing folding chairs and a nice warm blanket. Free parking is available in the lot just east of the building and along Lucas Street. Visit http://bit.ly/9clNb2 for a map of 400 West Rich. Thanks for carpooling and biking. We hope you enjoy this event and look forward to seeing you in our future Pecha Kucha.
