UPDATE - DATE CHANGE: We recently learned that the Komen Race for the Cure will be taking place downtown on our originally scheduled date (thanks to Shaun and Lyndsi for the head’s up!). Unfortunately, this event takes place just down the road from the Sunny Street Cafe and brings with it road closures, zero parking, and tens of thousands of people. Word from the restaurant is parking and space will be next to impossible. The new date for this event is Saturday, May 12th! All other details (time, location, menu, bike option, etc.) remain the same.

So, on Saturday, May 12th at 9:45am, we’ll skip the above inconveniences and enjoy a DELICIOUS vegetarian/vegan brunch, with NO crowds, AMPLE parking, and WONDERFUL company! After breakfast, head off to enjoy the day or bring (or ride) your bike to take advantage of the scenic Olentangy River Trail, located just a couple blocks from the restaurant.

Thanks for the flexibility and look forward to seeing you there!

Happy, Happy, Spring Is Here!

For our May/June Vegetarian Group event, we’re going to try something a little bit different and a whole lot of fun! Join us on Saturday, May 12th for our first ever breakfast with the group at the Sunny Street Caféin the Arena District. Sunny Street Café General Manager (and Vegetarian Group Member) Jason Crowe, is now offering a fantastic vegetarian and vegan brunch menuon weekends! Brunch items include vegan versions of traditional breakfast favorites, including: pancakes, Belgian waffles, French toast, hash browns, home fries, fresh fruit, Tofurky sausage and fakin’ bacon! Or, if you are feeling adventurous try a breakfast quesadilla or breakfast burrito (both made with Daiya cheese and scrambled tofu) or the French Toast Crunch! Where else in Columbus can you find such a wide and delicious array of breakfast favorites!? Be sure to join us as we get together for a great brunch and support a restaurant that supports and encourages vegetarian & vegan dining!

As a bonus optional add-on for this event, the Sunny Street Café is conveniently located just a couple blocks away from the Olentangy Bike Trail. This popular trail runs along the Olentangy River from the Arena District to as far north as Worthington! So, if the weather cooperates, be sure to bring your bike and after breakfast, enjoy a bike ride (or walk) on this scenic and well-maintained trail. Or, if you live near the trial, bike to breakfast then bike home afterwards! Either way, whether you decide to to walk, bike, or just head out to enjoy the day, be sure to start your day off right by enjoying breakfast with the Vegetarian Group at the Sunny Street Café.

We’ll meet at the Café at 9:45 and plan to order around 10am. Hope to see you there!
