Community Hacks with Community Learnings from Mozilla & Strava

I am delighted to announce we will host our second Community Hacks event on Monday January 28th. It is also the date of 'Community Manager Appreciation Day' - we felt it was appropriate to host our first event of the new year on this special day! Huge thanks to Mozilla for hosting and sponsoring.

Here's the run down of our event:

- Doors open 6pm

- Talks start promptly at 6:30pm

- Speakers:

-- Mark Gainy, Founder and Chairman of Strava will tell with Strava story and his lessons learned on building and engaging his community.

-- Mary Colvig, Director of Community Engagement at Mozilla will talk about Mozilla's successful participatory community model, and give thoughts for those wanting to open up to community participation.

- More networking and 'birds of a feather' for: Community Engagement, User Engagement, Support, Developer.

- Event ends at 9pm

Please do come, share, learn, network -- and celebrate!

Warm wishes

Founder, Community Hacks

PS: Mozilla has very kindly agreed to sponsor and host us at their San Francisco office. (South Bay Community Hackers please do not worry we'll be back south in Feb!). We really appreciate their support!

Great event. Very organized, informative and inclusive. Both speakers from Mozilla and Strava were great. This is the second one that I attended and I am learning a lot about the right way to build and sustain a community.
