Hi everyone!

Welcome to our Mom and Baby Meetup Group!  

We are so glad you found us!  We just started in the fall of 2011, and we are growing quickly.  The more the merrier!  We'd love to have you join us, and pass the word around!

This group is for all those Comox Valley moms out there (with little ones 0-24 months old).  On the list of things we have done or plan to do: group walks/hikes, movies at the theatre, Saturday play dates, mom and baby spa days, lunch dates, birthday parties, coffee dates, open houses, and the list goes on and on!  As we all get to know each other better, we'll soon be planning moms-night-out dinner parties and such.  This is primarily for moms with babies under 2 yrs old (of course, other moms are welcome to join and participate when events work for their little one's age groups as well!) Welcome!!

This meetup.com site is an excellent place for us to plan events and to easily view/track RSVPs and map out locations.  The reminders are also great - we are so busy chasing our little ones around, it's not our fault when we forget things!  Let's let modern technology remind us instead! :-)

The annual fee to be a member of this group is $10.  This covers the cost of website fees (we pay a monthly fee to use this meetup.com site).  As we recruit more and more members, and our fees are covered early on in the year, we will be able to use any leftover money from the membership dues to pay for events/room rentals/etc.

I am always looking for others to organize events too... so if you have an idea and/or would like to host an event, please go ahead!  All members can create events for our group!
