meet to talk about different ways of handling unpaid assessments

Monthly assessment payments are the only income most condo associations have. They’re vital. Non-payment or late payment is a minor problem in many asssociations. Attorneys recommend strict late-fee and collections measures. What are humane yet effective ways of getting owners to pay on time every month? What are the consequences of “sending them to collections”. What about associations that are “dysfunctional” to the point that a hefty percentage of the ownership is not making their assessment payments?

This issue of your neighbors who don't pay their monthly contributions or who are late on their payment is a tricky and a tough one. It's different depending on the size of your association. Attorneys recommend you quickly fine, then file a law suit to evict your neighbors so you can rent out their unit and recuperate the payments they were supposed to make. What are some alternatives to this drastic but sometimes necessary process? Come to our meetup to find out!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
