self managed which theoretically seems advantageous but lacks any system of checks and balances which leads to poor management, bad contracts, and double standards. Modeled after the State of Illinois, no doubt.
Absolutely not !
No. I made the mistake of running for the Board years ago after attending an out of control Board meeting, knowledge of the industry, and a passion to help people and improve things. This made me the target of the insiders who saw me as a threat to their absolute control and domination which was never my intent. I just wanted to make this the best place it could be and create a strong sense of community.
I live there but travel and they do not understand what a primary residency consists of, which they constantly try to challenge. They threaten to and have towed visitors vehicles and have killed four separate sales of my property. We have no e-mail, website, methods of communication. We have no viable parking program, which allows them to tow at will, no emergency protocol, and none of the other current methods of property management are in place. It is located in Elmhurst, on West ave.
Small investor with deep management and maintenance experience who is completely fed up with an angry, controlling, and power driven Board who lacks the credentials to manage properly, violates the rules constantly, and prevents open elections.
