Talepop Trail-Juan Bautista de Anza Park 4 mile loop

Details
This is a pretty 4 1/2 mile loop hike with some steady but easy elevation of about 450 feet. We start out at the park and then climb up into the hills. For a while we will only see nature and then wind around for views of Las Virgenes and beyond. Along the way we might even see the beginnings of some wild flowers peeking out. This trail is a bit overgrown in places so wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts if you don't want plants rubbing on you. No poison oak.
We will do a 15 minute band work-out in front of the rest-rooms next to the parking lot before the hike starting at 8:45. We leave for the hike PROMPTLY at 9:00 am. Bring a work out band but if you don't have one, I have a few extra to share.

Our guidelines;
Be on time. We will not wait for you. It is not fair to those who are on time. We leave the trail head promptly at the time indicated.
Bring lots of water and have extra in your car. Bug repellent, sunscreen and a snack of some kind (energy bar, nuts and fruit etc.) are also a good idea.
Always check the website the morning of the hike to be sure it is still on.
Responsibility: Denise and Lori are not responsible for you. You are responsible for yourself. You should be aware of your own capabilities in regard to your hiking endurance and how well you do in the heat. Should you find you cannot complete the hike, you must be able to find your way back to your car on your own. We will not be able to leave the group and lead you back to the trail head. In this regard we suggest you bring a friend if you are unsure of how strong you are.
