Chase your passion not your pension...

The phenomenon called “recession” is not here to prevent us from following our passion but from using anything other than that to make a living. Its message is clear: Chase your passion not your pension.

Dear friend

It never ceases to intrigue me how in our society we are more likely to believe that we can be paid for doing a job that we hate, than for doing what we love. We don’t seem to trust our passion...

We behave as if our “built-in” talents and abilities were given to us randomly. Or even worse, we treat them as A SORT OF BUG IN THE SYSTEM and we have to live in spite of it: Something went wrong in the creation process, somehow nature screwed up in creating us the way we are, and now we can’t count on being who we are. Being anything other than that (fit in) therefore seems more reliable.

The remedy? Move against your natural inclinations by doing what you dislike/hate instead of what you love (we called this pattern job) Simple, isn’t it:-)?...HOW CRAZY...

The reality is that your passion is the real asset, the one that is going to keep you alive, really alive and vibrant and not only physically rather than your pension...which might eventually feed your body but certainly not your soul, your mind or whatever label you use to identify the essence of who you are- and if you are not alive within, you are not really here even if your body is still hanging around...

I always say that “Passion” on this planet has completed its maturation process and can now stand on his own feet. What you love doing is now self-sufficient and no longer needs to be justified and supported financially by what you dislike/hate doing, typically identified as “job” (unless you genuinely love your job).

Your Passion/Calling is now able to provide everything you need for your material and inner “fulfilment”. So turn your job into something that you love or make of what you love your “job” because soon, being yourself and creating your life accordingly will be the only job available in town...

We'll talk about this and more on Wednesday. If these ideas somehow resonate with you, I hope to see you there.
