Docker for Node.js / io.js Microservice Developers

In this talk, Tony Pujals provides a solid orientation to get you up and running with Docker and Node. The session will provide you with up-to-date information based on current Docker tools, the latest versions of node and io.js, and the latest Docker images for building your building your apps. The emphasis is on building APIs deployed as Docker-based microservices, and after this talk you will have insight on the benefits as well as the information and source code needed to become productive.

About the Speaker

Tony is fanatical about Node.js, Docker, APIs, microservices and scalable cloud architecture. With a background in building APIs and web services with various technologies, he's been thoroughly committed to the Node platform since 2011 and is deeply involved in the community: he's a member of the io.js evangelism working group; he started Node Hackers at Hacker Dojo in Mountain View, which merged into BayNode and is now the third largest Node meetup in the world with ~2,000 members; he presents to over 100 developers per month, and is the CTO at Atomiq, a startup that aims to contribute to the open source community to improve the process of building, deploying, orchestrating, and monitoring containerized microservices built with Node.
