The secrets behind social content: Social Media Week special

Welcome to the The Content Creation Collective, a meetup for all creative types with a penchant for digital - writers, bloggers, editors, journalists, videographers, designers and producers - involved in the creation of content.

This Social Media Week special will be taking place on the 26th September at 6:30pm aboard HMS President. We've got some great speakers for you who'll be revealing some of the industry's best kept secrets behind social content.

Emma Gannon (@girllostincity) is a digital journalist and social media strategist living in London. Girl Lost in the City is Emma's popular lifestyle blog, which was recently chosen by More! magazine as one of their top 10 favourite blogs and shortlisted for a 2012 Cosmopolitan Blog Award. Emma writes a column for Huffington Post and Hello Giggles and has written for many other publications including Stylist and Made in Shoreditch magazine.

Philip Calvert (@philipcalvert) is an award-winning social networking entrepreneur, social media speaker and author. As the founder of a social networking site, Philip brings a startling ‘behind the scenes’ insight into the most effective ways for individuals and companies to use content-based social media and conversational technology to improve awareness and increase sales. Philip is also a LinkedIn strategist and is in demand to share content-based techniques to leverage the popular business networking site.

We'll be holding this event on the HMS President, which is one of the permanently moored ships on Victoria Embankment, and an amazing venue for meetups as anyone who's attended our sister event OMN London will attest to.

There's a bar on board, so everyone will be able to refresh themselves suitably throughout the evening.

I'm a firm believer in the premise of the more the merrier, so please help us to grow this group by spreading the word!

See you there,

Natalie

It was great to hear from two very different 'experts'. There was plenty in there for almost everyone. Both were entertaining and hugely useful to everyone present. I took plenty of notes. I found the networking part at the beginning and end slightly awkward.

Personally thought it was a bit generic and even though the talks were interesting would have been nice to find out something "new"

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
