A Day in the Life of a Content Strategist: Panel Discussion

This location is shown only to members

Our forthcoming meeting kicks off what we hope will be a content-rich series of fall gatherings.

We're bringing together three eminent Bay Area content strategists from our membership for our first-ever panel discussion, moderated by Frank Marquardt. Come find out what content strategists from both companies and agencies do day-to-day, how they came to their current roles, and how they work with the teams around them. Featuring:

Kris Corzine, Content Strategist, eBay
John Alderman, Creative Director, Razorfish
CC Holland, Content Strategist, Cisco

Following an interview of the panelists we'll open the floor to questions.

Those of you who want to help set the agenda, feel free to email me questions you'd like answered ([masked]) and we'll do our best to use them to help frame the conversation.

We'll be serving wine courtesy of Jeri Hastava (we're seriously stocked after her donation to the group—thanks again Jeri!).

Fantastic event! Frank, thank you for hosting and moderating. CC, Kris, and John: thank you for sharing your stories and insights. I like John's idea of a "deliverables show and tell". I look forward to the next event!

This was the event I was looking for when I joined the group. Excellent. Informative. Practical.

I'm not in the industry. Just researching a new career. I don't have any "war stories" or insight into the field to offer – to be honest, I feel a little awkward – so when I attend one of these meetups, what I'm really looking for is information.

I got exactly what I was looking for tonight.

Thank you so much, presenters and hosts.

Lots of food for thought. Had a great discussion afterward and expect some good stuff to come from it. Thanks for hosting, Barbarians - it's a great venue.

Thanks all, for a terrific event. My first CS Meetup outing, and well worth the time away from client and project demands. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon, and to participating!

Thank you so much Frank and Stacey for putting together such a fab panel of content strategists. And thank you CC, Kris and John for sharing your talent and experience. It was fascinating. Well worth the drive from Cloverdale. :-) What a terrific Meetup group.

Lots of good people and lots of knowledge shared. The panel format worked quite well. I only wish I'd been able to arrive earlier to network more!

insightful and informative; great to hear the details, ins and outs, ups and downs of the many aspects of the job; thanks to the panelist for their time and energy! (and to frank for organizing it, of course!)

The best was hearing about content strategy as it applies to mobile platforms, as well examples of deliverables that a content professional produces. Good networking and a collaborative vibe!

Insight from similar roles in different environments - IT/Communications firm, consumer market, and agency. I have notes. Usually I don't. Pretty sure I'm going to use the notes, too.
  • Kim Nicol
