We'll be talking about the relatively broad topic of "what brings you to life?". Some background thoughts are these:

  1. Joseph Campbell concluded through his exhaustive studies of mythologies of the world, that most people are looking for "the experience of being alive". This may be different for each person, but there are also similarities. When have you most felt "the experience of being alive"?

  2. The spiritual teacher, Ekhart Tolle often speaks of a meditative practice of "feeling the aliveness in the body". What does this mean to you?

  3. Marshall Rosenberg, who teaches non-violent communication states that he begins dialogue with the explicit or implicit aim of determing "what is alive" in a person. What do you think he means by this?

These are some of the ways we will approach this topic for our discussion on March 22nd and April 5th.

Hope to see you then! - Janice
