So Happy to announce that Virtuous Vodka will be joining us from Stockholm as a special guest. The company which is producing an all natural series of vodka is currently financing through equity crowdfunding at FundedByMe.

After our recent Meetups on loan and reward based crowdfunding, we shift our focus to equity crowdfunding which has emerged as an efficient funding vehicle in recent years. We have invited HeartReacher Crowdfunding Consultancy to give a thorough presentation on how to finance your startup through equity crowdfunding, while sharing success stories and best practices.
Equity crowdfunding describes the process of a company offering equity through a crowdfunding platform to potential investors. Examples of platforms offering the service includes FundedByMe, Crowdcube and Seedrs. The funding model is suitable for companies in need of capital between DKK 500K – DKK 7M where selling equity is a better alternative to debt financing.

While the model is still to break-through in Denmark, it is established in neighboring countries where entrepreneurs finance their startup with millions through equity crowdfunding. However, Danish entrepreneurs can use equity crowdfunding as a financing vehicle. One of the pioneers is Christian Majgaard from Lovetagged, who financed the startup through FundedByMe and HeartReacher in September. Christian will be present at the Meetup to share his experience.
