I read some of Jan Kronquists articles (http://www.jayway.com/2013/09/08/using-eventstore-atom-api-from-clojure/) on Jayways (http://www.jayway.com/2013/09/08/using-eventstore-atom-api-from-clojure/) website, and immediately started thinking: Lets invite this guy to our DDD meetup. I asked, and luckily he responded Yes. Jan is going to talk about the following subject:
In this presentation we take a close look how to implement a small (but not trivial) service using CQRS and Event Sourcing. The presentation will start with an overview of the domain, some design options and then goes into a code example. We look at several things from how to handle consistency to the relationship between Event Sourcing and functional programming.
Afterwards we can follow up with a discussion how this relates to Micro Services and how other parts of the system can be built.
