This is a circular route with lunch in Calella de Palafrugell stopping off along the way at the most iconic bays and Calas on the Costa Brava. The route to Calella takes us via La Fosca, S'Alguer, Platja Castell and the iberian ruins, the Cap Roig hills and finally a descent into Calella de Palafrugell.

We will stop for lunch in Calella and a swim if you choose. The restaurants in Calella de Palafrugell are right on the beach, you can't get closer to the water without getting your feet wet.

After lunch, we walk through Calella de Palafrugell to Llafranc for postres and coffee. At the end of the afternoon, we head back over the Gavarres massif via the inland walk to Palamós and the parking.

Total distance for this round trip is about 20km. This is an easy walk with very little vertical climb. We can position cars at Calella if anyone only wants to walk half way, but we recommend walking the whole route to walk off the lunch ! There are plenty of chiringuitos along the way to have a rest.....

Parking in Palamós is free for the day, bring money for a lunch in Calella, or bring your own picnic to eat on the beach.

You will need water, suncream, money for lunch, comfortable shoes or hiking boots and swimming costume and towel and camera ! The views on this walk are spectacular !

If you only ever do one coastal path walk in Spain, this is the one to do !
