We study A Course in Miracles, and any special topics that may come up from time to time, always connecting back to the metaphysics of the Course.

The Course is a way of life, not a book, as it becomes inextricably woven into all we do, as a way of learning to not take the drama seriously by providing a new way of looking at everything 'with Jesus,' as the Course proposes. Gaining that inner perspective of looking at life as metaphor, in which we act out our belief in separation, puts our feet on a path of making the unconscious conscious, and changing our purpose to learning to listen to our inner teacher, and finding our way back home. Our  relationships with people, places and things thus become the classroom for the way back home.

The Course is a non-dualistic teaching, and has a lot in common with the traditions of Advaita Vedanta and Buddhism, but expresses itself in a unique way within the Western framework of the Abrahamic traditions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam. We stay close to the text, and those teachers and authors who do not deviate from its teachings, including Ken Wapnick, Gary Renard, Alex Marchand, Margot Krikhaar, and others. Many other non-dualist teachings and teachers, including Jed McKenna, Byron Katie, Mooji, Jeff Foster, Tony Parsons, are often helpful to people. The Course however advocates to be very aware of what it is specifically teaching for its focus on relationships and forgiveness is unique and different, and if we water it down, we are not helping ourselves. Historically, we enjoy the connection to the pre-christian Jesus tradition from the Gospel of Thomas and the Book of Andrew.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
