Blogging for Business: How to Get Results
Everyone said, “You should start a blog.” They said, “Blog about your passion and then monetize it.”
You got excited, but then you realized you had to create a following if you were actually going to make money. In order to create a following, you learned that you had to start a social media campaign. So, you began to read everything you could find online about Facebook and Twitter, which was a lot.
It was a little confusing. If you were going to use Twitter you had learn how to tweet, get followers, get re-tweets and then there was the debate about joining Triberr. Facebook required getting fans and friends, and you still weren’t sure which were which or how you got them. Oh, and by the way, what the heck is a hashtag?
Then you heard a whole other discussion about different methods of getting comments on your blog and the importance of answering them right away, which you were sure you’d do if you ever got any. Were blogging groups or guest posting the best way to go? Or, maybe you needed to do both?
By now, you were beginning to feel like your blog resembled The House That Jack Built. What should you do first? Even more importantly, how do you do it?
Does this sound like you? If so, you’re not alone. In fact, so many of my clients are asking these same questions, I decided to present a workshop on the topic.
