Dear Sparkers
This #CphSpark Meetup will be our first Hackathon. We will select a sample data set and then apply our collective sparkiness on it in any and every way we feel like. The idea is to have fun and learn new Spark tricks in the process.
Venue will be decided later, depending on amount of RSVPs.
Sample data will be announced approximately a week in advance so you have time to import into your favourite DB and whatnot.
Next Meetup is expected to happen in the early fall, where Christopher Batey from DataStax will present on Spark and Cassandra. Look out for more details in the Upcoming Meetups section in the months to come.
Last Meetup was the meet&greet/friday-bar on friday the 8th of May. To those who couldn't attend, a short summary: Besides having a very good time in the company of fellow sparkers we covered the future form of the meetups, ideas for speaks and hackathons, as well as numerous interesting technical discussions.
