Warren Miller Film- Get ready for ski/snowboard season!!

  • Nov 10, 2012 · 8:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Ski/snowboard season is just around the corner! One of my favorite things to do when I lived out west was to see the Warren Miller Film to get excited for the winter season!

Even if you're not a skier/snowboarder, it's worth coming out.

Please purchase your own ticket either before the show (9pm show) or the day of. You can purchase reduced tickets at your local EMS store (details below). I don't know if this sells out, so you may not want to wait until the day of, or call?

FYI, there is a free ski ticket included with the purchase of the film ticket!

Depending on interest, we can meet up earlier in the area (maybe 6pm) for drinks/apps and then head over to the film. Seating is not assigned, so we can go in and sit as a group.

Two shows at 5:30pm and 9pm
Saturday, November 10, 2012

The Academy of Natural Sciences
19th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway

Arrive before the show and hear live, on stage, the sounds of Old Time Friends

All attendees will receive a free lift ticket vouchers to Spring Mountain (some restrictions may apply). Attendees also receive Warren Miller's Snow World Magazine and a year's free subscription to Ski Magazine. There will also be a raffle give away for some great prizes.

Chestnut Mountain Productions is pleased to be able to bring Warren Miller's 2012 Flow State to New York and Philadelphia

Warren Miller Entertainment's 63rd Film . . . Flow State

This fall, immerse yourself in the Flow State with Warren Miller Entertainment and experience the ultimate winter from a lens of absolute clarity. Warren Miller's Flow State is a place of such singular focus and connection with the environment that, in this place, the faster you ride, the slower time passes. The Flow State exists anywhere crisp winter air shocks your lungs and sunlight refracts off snowflakes, allowing you to emerge from this state improved - happier, more confident and more aware of your surroundings. So buckle up, because Warren Miller's 63rd annual ski and snowboard film will take you into the zone...the moment...the groove...the center...the Flow State.

Warren Miller's Flow State guides viewers to the top of the world's most striking peaks, taking you on an exhilarating journey across the globe to Norway, Austria, California, Switzerland and beyond. The powder in Japan will send you scrambling to tune-up your gear, the gravity in Telluride will have you scheduling an avalanche refresher course, and the steeps in Alaska will drive you to push a little harder during your next preseason workout. Winter is right around the corner, and it is time to enter the Flow State...where the mountain meets the mind.

Let's meet up at 6:30 pm at Kite & Key for drinks/dinner
    1836 Callowhill Street Philadelphia, PA

We can then walk over to the movie.

Or just meet me inside the ANS at 8:40pm.

I will send out an email later this week with my phone number.

Kite & Key would be a good place to meet beforehand. Good pub food and craft beers, and a short walk to the ANS.
