How to Collectively Purchase Property and Homes in and around Asheville
Hosted by Creating Intentional Community
Details
This meeting will be to coordinate the search for new land near Asheville and new or used homes for shared housing and/or a neighborhood community foundation. Also we will establish individual desires, and group like minded people together to work on specific goals.
This meeting is for everybody who desires to invest in creating intentional community, for yourself and/or others: land or housing.
I will discuss how we may collectively purchase homes or land for our own use or as an investment for others to live in/on/near.
We will have a Realtor or two at the meeting to cooperate with us in our search and we will independently work on FSBO properties.
If you individually do not have the resources to purchase a home or land I invite you to get together with our Meetup Family and look at the possibility of investing together. Whether you have a down payment or can help make payments this is an opportunity for you.
If you do have the resources I invite you to participate with the group and save some of your resources for other necessities (or luxuries).
I also invite you to consider real estate as a viable investment instead of stocks, bonds, annuities or whatever. The Best Investment: Land in a Loving Community is a book written in 1982 by David W. Felder. The book is out of print and the idea is more viable today than when it came out.
So what if money becomes worth less? Say worth less real fast: worthless!
When inflation decreases the value of money, "things" or capital goods become more valuable. If you are invested in food, shelter or clothing, you will have a commodity that is always necessary, i.e., valuable.
What will homes and/or property be worth? They will be a priceless commodity that will house viable entrepreneurs with skills and assets to trade. We are not creating "rental properties" or "land leases". We are creating independent, self-sufficient, co-empowered communities and neighborhoods with friends and family we know and love (most of the time).
If you joined this group to find community I suggest you come to this meeting and create community. This is what we are about.
Come see what you can do. Be the change.
