Vancouver Premiere of THE MOVEMENT

Launch the ski season and Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sport's 40th year of assisting persons with a disability to ski/snowboard/sit-ski on the North Shore Mountains with a number of short films and our feature - the Vancouver Premiere of Kurt Miller's The Movement.

Narrated by Robert Redford and Warren Miller, The Movement tells the story of five individuals from all walks of life who faced incredible obstacles, found the inspiration to overcome and become real everyday heroes.Through skiing, each has ultimately discovered or rediscovered the freedom of movement and the pure joy of playing with gravity and has carried over into the rest of their lives. Their experience on the mountain serves as a metaphor for leaping over the hurdles created by living with a disability.

There will be a number of special guests in attendance including a couple of former Olympians.

Doors open at 6:30 - come early and see the exhibitions in the atrium!

There will be door prizes!! Bring a friend (or two, or three...)

Tickets available online at:

Come and find out more about the great work done by this amazing group of people. Volunteer opportunities are available both on and off the mountain...

Hi Dan... Can you get a few more people to RSVP, from your own circle of friends or community workers... That's a good way of getting more people to attend. It's easier to be the 20th person that comes then the second person... And can you schedule attend a meeting over coffee, to help make it a bit more social?? If you do both, then i will be happy to promote this to the entire group and will look into other areas as well.. Thanks for working on this cause and bringing this to my attention.

sorry promoting it on as many sites as possible - don't have time to get people to come here to get numbers up - would rather have 4 or 5 who are interested in what we are doing and might want to volunteer as ski instructors. Thought this would be a good group to let know about the event... Dan

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
