Short Version: This group is the workshop, event, and non-Free or non-Ableton events for Electronic Music in Colorado.
What this group IS NOT:
--Another email generating effort to promote the club shows or other high profile events
--A method to gain unfair exposure on an event
--Any type of leverage in music or the scene in general
WHAT THIS GROUP IS ABOUT:
--Promotion and advocacy of electronic music
--Promotion of academic and education events for electronic music (free and pay)
--Promotion of projects that are pushing the limits of music in an electronic fashion
--Concerts and other events that may not appear on the radar screen with all the other noise on the internet and streets
--A platform and point of contact for learning and teaching
--A community of artists focusing on electronic music with little regards to the music type, programs used, or final output.
Who should join?
Anyone who is into electronic music beyond "pressing play". If you are an Ableton, Traktor, Mashine, Serato, Cubase, ProTools, etc user and want to gain knowledge.
Anyone who is interested in participating with a larger idea and scene of electronic music that extends from prime time DJ slots in major clubs all the way down to the basement producer working with lasers, micro-controllers,and hacking new ideas together.
