EXPLORE! Music Group 4.00 4.004

Music Explorium sponsors monthly- every 2nd Saturday - creative music jams called EXPLORE! Rhythm. Details @ www.musicexplorium.com

We gather in a modern indoor space, at Music Explorium (near RTP) and create a cross-cultural, multi-racial, every-gender, friends-forever, come-along-and-make-some-music, hands-on bang-a-drum, blow a “didg” or horn, ring a chime, or boom a boomer rhythmical-activity!!! We have TONS of drums, wild and traditional hand percussion, chimes, xylophones and tone chimes - even a hang drum - to share. You can also bring your own fun musical instruments. We even use our voices in song and chant, when it feels right. The cool thing is you can participate however you want. No way to do it wrong! You can leave self judgment at the door. No experience with playing music required.

Since we all have rhythm, if we are breathing and our heart's beating - no matter what they told us in school - we can express music with easy-to-use percussion instruments. OR musicians can bring a flute, guitar, saxophone, violin, cello -- whatever you play. You just need a predilection for creative fun and a willingness to listen and play as we create our group song. We have been facilitating this creative experience, monthly, for six years. Cathy Kielar, Blaise Kielar or Shannon Morrow facilitate, and are constantly amazed at the beauty that this group creates EVERY TIME. We have amazingly fun musical conversations! Sometimes dancing happens too. We have lots of flowing scarves, to share, for dancing. Drumming and dancing go together. Join us!! Meet new friends and share the joy of creating music in community.

Playing music in a group creates relaxation and big smiles; great blood flow for your wonderful body; new pathways for those adventurous neurons in your nervous system; new connections with a group of fun, fearless folks who become friends. All of this makes you smarter, stronger, more creative and less of a Grumpy Gus! Playing percussion has also been proven to be amazingly valuable for folks: in recovery; who are experiencing lonliness or loss; are tired of TV and sitting on their butts; wanting a creative outlet; and/or loving to laugh, smile, hoot and holler at all this creative fun.

Donations accepted – please place your contribution in the basket when you leave. Best time ever, at a price you decide!
