Finding the creative photographer within. Work with other photographers, participate in exercises to challenge your vision, and get feedback to help improve your images. Geared toward any photographer that wants to shoot outside the box.
We believe that everyone has a vision and look forward to seeing what you have to share.
Our monthly activities include:
~ Meetings with a specific topic for discussion. Past topics have include the Color of Light, Breaking your Creative Block and Creating a Workflow.
~ Walkabouts. These are casual get-togethers where we meet at a specific location and just walk around and shoot.
~ A variety of other outings. More planned and usually revolve around a location or theme for shooting. We have done neighborhood walks, old hardware stores and the Iris Gardens.
~ Challenges. These are posted online 1-2 times per month. They are intended to get you to try something new or look at photography from a new perspective. We encourage you to try as many of these as you can, to shoot specifically for the topic (not pull old photos that fit) and post online.
~ Scavenger Hunts. These are introduced at meeting about 4 times a year and then posted online. You have 1 month to complete and post the photos for the current hunt.
~ And we are always adding new types of outings and activities as our members share ideas and interests with us.
NOTE: There is a $10.00 yearly dues, that must be paid by the end of the second month after you join. We do want our members to participate so we require that you attend 1 activity during your first 2 months. This is so you can meet some members and see if our group is the right fit for you. Once you have attended 1 outing and paid your dues, there is no attendance requirements.
