THE PAINTING WORKSHOPS ARE BACK! MIXED MEDIA 101

I just returned from a two-month teaching residency at the renowned Perry-Manfield School for Performing Arts (http://perry-mansfield.org/) in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where had the fortune of instructing emerging dancers and theater practitioners in a medium outside of their chosen specialty. I am eager to get back to my schedule of workshops here in the Bay Area. I know many of you have been asking when the next workshop will be and I've finally decided on a date: Saturday September 28th, 11am-6pm.

This workshop will be dedicated to the exploration of multiple mediums including acrylic paint, charcoal, collage, pastel and gesso. You will learn how to mix these mediums into a completed work through applying various layering techniques.

**Required Materials:

• One 48×36 canvas (or approx)
• Charcoal, rags, and items for collage (colored papers, scraps, phone bills, love notes, etc.)
• All other painting materials provided (brushes, paints, etc.)
