Happy New Year!  Back at ya.  Sorry I'm a day late, but with the cloudy sky and my dial up, I couldn't get on the internet.  Resolutions?  I resolved a long time ago not to make them.  I never could seem to keep them, so why try.  Instead.  I just HOPE that I can be a better person, a better writer, and get something published this year.  My plan was to publish the first book in my series last year, but that didn't happen.  So, maybe this year.  No - This year it happens!!!!!.   Anyway, I hope no one got TOO hungover from last night.  How did you spend YOUR New Year's Eve?  Me?  I played cards at a friend's house and had a ball.  A few jello shots, a glass of wine, good company, and no police stopped me on the way home.  Hoo-yay!  Did you eat your black-eyed peas?  I had black-eyed peas, cabbage (purple - in a salad), and .....a Mexican dish.  Good dinner.  See you all at the meeting.

Subject: [CriticalInk] Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!
Here we old year behind us and a new one in front of us. Isn't it exciting? I love it! I can't help but wonder what the new year will bring. This last year brought a lot of wonderful things. Critical Ink had (and is still having) a growth spurt and I got to know a lot of new talented people.
New Years resolutions? I made a few. I don't like doing those generic ones....lose weight, exercise more, be nicer (fat, write more. I prefer specifics. This year my writing resolution is simply to write at least 2 hours a week. There are 168 hours in a week. Assuming you spend 56 of those sleeping that cuts it down to 112. I spend approx. 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, focused on the duties associated with making a living. That brings it down to 62 hours. Still quite a bit to work with. I know there are still lots of things that need to be done in those, cleaning, spending time with family, paying bills, pooping...LOL. But surely...I can at least take 2 of those and use them for writing. Sounds do-able, right? I think so. so that is my writing resolution this year. Do you have one?
Have a wonderful new year everyone!
