Critique-Free Writing Meetup-Morning Session

There will be a morning and an afternoon session. This meetup is for the morning session. You're welcome to attend either one or both, but you should plan to come and be ready to start at the beginning of the session you want to attend and stay to the end. And you should join the session you want to attend here on Meetup.

The morning session will run from 9:00-12:00 and the afternoon session from 14:00-17:00. For either session, feel free to show up as much as 1/2 hour early to grab a cup of coffee in the kitchen, get set up to write, and say hello to other participants.

After quick introductions we'll get to work. Some of you may be working on a novel, a thesis, a news report, poetry, a business plan, or a grant proposal. The point is to spend time together being as productive as possible with our writing. This group will be focused on the physical act of bringing our fingers to the keyboard (or pen to paper, if that's your style) and not talking about writing or thinking about writing. We'll be writing, writing, and writing. It'll be a day of moving our writing projects closer to completion together. At the end of the day, we'll have a quick discussion among members, mainly to get feedback about what works and doesn't work and to get a sense of closure and coming together as a group. You're welcome to share what you're working on or struggling with or anything else you'd like to share at the end of the day, but you certainly aren't required or even expected to.

Bude se konat dopolední a odpolední setkání. Tato pozvánka na Meetup je určena pro dopolední část setkání. Jste zváni buď na jednu, nebo obě části, měli byste však přijít a být připraveni začít již od začátku setkání, kterého se chcete zúčastnit a zůstat zde až do konce. Dále byste měli potvrdit svou účast zde na Meetup.

Dopolední část bude probíhat od 09:00-12:00 a odpolední od 14:00-17:00. U obou setkání neváhejte a ukažte se třeba i o 1/2 hodiny dříve, ať si můžete v kuchyni dát kávu, připravit se ke psaní a pozdravit ostatní účastníky.

Po rychlé představení se dáme do práce. Někteří z vás mohou pracovat na románu, diplomové práci, tiskové zprávě, poezii, obchodním plánu, nebo grantové žádosti. Jde o to, trávit čas dohromady s jinými lidmi, kteří píší a být tak produktivní, jak je to možné. Tato skupina bude zaměřena na fyzický akt pokládání našich prstů na klávesnici (nebo pero na papír, pokud je to váš styl), a nemluvit o psaní nebo o psaní přemýšlet. Budeme psát, psát a psát. Bude to den, kdy se naše psané projekty posunou blíže k dokončení. Na konci dne budeme mít rychlou diskuzi, především k získání zpětné vazby o tom, co funguje a nefunguje, a získat smysl pro uzavření a práci ve skupině. Jste vítáni sdílet to, na čem pracujete nebo s čím bojujete nebo cokoliv, o co byste se na konci dne rádi podělili, ale určitě to není nutné, ani se to neočekává.
