The February Summer version of the first Sunday of the month cruise to South Straddie. We leave from Marina Quays International Hotel. The trip requires a $6.00 part payment fee with your booking.
For those who would like to go on the walk, we will do a walk across the island to the high dunes overlooking the Ocean side. You can then choose between the short option back, about 2 Klms round trip or the longer track about 5 Klms round trip along the beach and back across the Island.
The full fare is $26.00 with a remaining $20.00 which can be paid on the day.
The meetup time is 10.30 am at the Marina Quays International Hotel for an 11.00 am departure to South Straddie on the Rum Runner. This leisurely trip takes approximately 55 mins with complimentary tea/coffee and cask wine on board.
On arrival we will set out on our walk, about 1 kilometre across to the ocean side where we will find a nice spot for a picnic lunch if you choose to bring your own food.
You can then either walk back to Tipplers or continue on the longer walk. Those who would like to eat at Tipplers can come on either the short walk or the longer walk and still get back in plenty of time to order lunch.
There is live music by at Tipplers and Tipplers is now licenced. You therefore can not bring your own alcohol or consume your own food in the licenced area, which is signposted. There are areas nearby where you can consume your own alcohol or of course you can buy your drinks at Tipplers.
There is time to enjoy a bit of unique island atmosphere including the swimming enclosure on the calm side of the Island. We leave the island at 4.00 pm for the cruise home.
If you have not been to the Marina Quays International Hotel before, please take the time to check the map, it can be a bit hard to find first time.
