Our group is for former students who have attended my Packaging Your Portfolio Workshop for Makeup Artists, Hair Stylists, Fashion Stylists and Manicurists. I take their success seriously, and personally.
It keeps me connected to them so that I can insure their successful transition into freelancing for print, video, commercials, film and TV.
It’s a place for us to gather, share ideas, network, brainstorm and solve problems that arise in the day-to-day business of work behind the scenes.
We talk. We share. I advise, critique, cajole, inspire, push, and offer tough love where necessary, but we don’t have meetings. We’re too busy focused on doing GREAT work.
We manage our quarterly conference calls, disseminate information, and resources, provide access to business forms that will help my students take their careers to the next level, and get them paid what they are worth!
We discuss solutions to challenges with building a portfolio, creating comp cards, developing a brand, negotiating with clients, securing work, signing with an agency and more.
