It's 2015 Hike!
Whatever your New Year's resolutions might be, this short hike is a perfect opportunity to start off 2015 in a really fun, healthy, and positive way!
The Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook is a very attractive network of hiking trails and steps spread over a fairly small, beautifully maintained hill/mountain close to the edge of Culver City and LA.
Address: (junction of) Hetzler Rd & Jefferson Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90232
We'll meet between 9:50am and 10:00am by the large, concrete road-side sign for the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook (at the junction of Jefferson and Hetzler, CA 90232 - see map.)
Fitness level: This is a fairly easy hike, but it will still be enough to get our hearts pumping and muscles toned. Hopefully we'll be having good conversations as we walk - our fitness goals will not outweigh our social ones!
Parking: There's free parking all along Jefferson and in the streets along Holdrege Ave (the nearest road to the West). Please give yourself enough time to park and walk to the sign BEFORE 10:00am. We'll start walking AT 10:00.

Weather: It's not very often that I need to cancel a hike due to bad weather, but if it is bad enough I'll post my decision here at 8:30am on the morning of the hike!
Water: It's a good idea to bring water to drink!
Duration: This hike doesn't last more than about an hour.
