Fitness Week Walk - Monday!

Fitness Week Walk - Monday!
It's time to get our hearts pumping, our muscles toned, and our figures trimmed!
Every weekday evening this week, I'm leading a brisk walk up to the top of the Overlook. Monday we'll start off walking at a fairly easy, leisurely pace. Then every subsequent day we'll increase our speed a bit. It's not boot-camp; there won't be any push-ups, pulled muscles, or passing out! Our bodies will naturally get fitter, healthier, and stronger as we progress steadily through the week. If you remain motivated and come to all five walks, you'll definitely be able to see and feel the difference in your body by the weekend!
RSVP: Please RSVP separately for each evening's walk. (i.e. If you're planning to attend all five walks, don't just RSVP for Monday - RSVP for them all.) If you RSVP for any of the walks but then you can't come, that's fine! It's not a requirement that you attend all five walks; you may pick and choose as you wish!
Address: (junction of) Hetzler Rd & Jefferson Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90232
We'll meet between 7:20pm and 7:30pm by the large, concrete road-side sign for the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook (at the junction of Jefferson and Hetzler, CA 90232 - see map.)
Fitness level: Monday: easy - OK for beginners. Tuesday: quite easy - OK for beginners. Wednesday: moderate pace - some fitness required. Thursday: moderate to fast pace - for fairly fit people. Friday: relatively fast - for quite fit people. (No one's obliged to stay with the main group. If we're going too fast for you, it's fine to slow down and hike at your own pace.)
Parking: There's free parking all along Jefferson (with some paid spaces too). If Jefferson is too busy, there's always parking along Holdrege Ave (the nearest road to the West). Please give yourself enough time to park and walk to the sign BEFORE 7:30. We'll start walking at 7:30.
Phone: If you can't find us, just call me: (213) 952 0008
Dogs: Dogs aren't allowed on this particular trail. Sorry!
Weather: It's not very often that I need to cancel a hike due to bad weather, but if it is bad enough I'll post my decision here at 6:00pm on the day of the hike!
Water: It's a good idea to bring water to drink!
Duration: This hike doesn't last more than about an hour.
See you all soon!
Rupert
