DCMeetup1501 - PowerShell 101

On January 13, 2015, Tyrone E. Wilson will provide the D.C. Cyber Security Professionals (@DCCyberWarriors) Meetup group with a Powershell 101 presentation. As a personal challenge, he took it upon himself to start learning the scripting language. As always, he will pass that knowledge on to everyone else.

Powershell allows for greater proficiency as a Windows Administrator, thus allowing greater proficiency as a pentester. As a pentester, it is very valuable to know multiple scripting languages.

Along with being the host of the D.C. Cyber Security Professionals (https://www.meetup.com/D-C-Cyber-Security-Professionals/), Tyrone is currently the owner of Cover6 Solutions (http://www.cover6solutions.com/) (The Primary Group Sponsors). He is a U.S. Army Reservist at the 1st Information Operations Command. For the last two years he served as the Cyber Detachment Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge and as a primary instructor overseeing the development and delivery of Information Security, Penetration Testing and IPv6 training. Meetup Location & Topics: The location we currently use is excellent; however, we are requesting suggestions for alternative locations along with topics for future meetups.

Meetup Hosts: Hosting options are available for all future meetups. It’s an excellent way to promote yourself or product.

Meetup Presenters: Just like our locations and topics it never hurts to have additional presenters available.

Meetup Sponsorship: Our group is over 900 strong, full of highly motivated individuals interested in all aspects of information security.
