Rock Creek Park Picnic

This is a very family friendly picnic site.  There will be very little traffic on Beach Drive since much access to the road is shut down for the weekend.  We had about 60 people at our picnic at this site last year with lots of children.

For humanists this is World Humanist Day.   All organization in the DC Coalition of Reason will be warmly invited to attend.

Is the picnic still on even though it's raining?

My preference is that people bring food and drinks to share. However, if you prefer to just bring your own eats because of your dietary preferences or other reason that is fine too. No money is required.

Last year it was bring food to share. I expect it is the same this year. There is a fireplace to cook.

I don't have a car. Or money for picnics.
Why can't these meetings be in a city?
And free. No pubs, no need to pay for venues, drinks, food..
Church attendance and socials are free...

Higher degree of organization. Seek a tax-exempt status. Then work can begin.

Our costs are paid by our tax-exempt member organization, the Washington Area Secular Humanists. I'm glad that we can clarify things for you.
