I agree with Don's point insofar as the constitutional interpretations of law by the religious right historically fail to achieve objective fairness.  Precisely why the founding fathers thought it critical to keep that bull shit  completely separate.  Moreover, the Tea Party movement  is dominated by the worst of these right wing authoritarian nut jobs.  Unless that changes the TP party should be looked upon as a bacterial threat and vigorously cleansed from the halls of government.
Libertarian folks have sound ideas but in the end America is not the "shining city on the hill" that could make that system work.  Hell, we may not be able to make any system work.   Seems that culturally we would much rather polish our weaponry, thump the bible,  and offer a nurturing environment for greed and corruption to flourish.  I see total system failure on the horizon.
