Chris Hedges: Fundamentalists in General

Ah! Someone else who sees fundamentalism as a danger, not just Christian Fundamentalism.

Many atheists wasted their votes on a third party candidate and when it was pointed out that such behavior supported McCain, horrific, irrational, criminal behavior ensued on this very site, the same type of behavior as one would expect from the Christian Fundamentalists. The math was simple, but it was beyond the intellectual skills of these so called pro Separation of Church and State promoters. Beliefs, even non religious beliefs, are dangerous to our society. The question is, "How widespread is this non religious fundamentalist belief"? Some MIGHT say that it has taken over the American Atheists after the recent political coup. I placed "might" in capitals because the last time I used that word, many didn't realize it. Of course, beliefs are like that. They tend to remove the part of the perception of reality that doesn't agree with their fundamentalist belief.

Yea, reality bites!
