Cherokee Language Study Group

In this group we'll be studying the basics of the Cherokee language. Anyone interested in working toward some level of fluency is welcome. We will be using a variety of materials and texts, starting with basics and working up. There is also some good material available on the Internet. A good website to look at for starters is http://www.culturev.com/cherokee/cherokee.h... There are also some good clips available on youtube. It is recommended that you have a copy of "Beginning Cherokee" by RuthBradley Holmes and the "Cherokee - English Dictionary" by Durbin Feeling.

"I'd say post weekly and cancel if you don't get RSVPs in by Saturday. At the meetup I've organized I'm continually surprised who pops out of the wood work once you put some events on the calendar. Do you have a location in mind yet?"

"Osiyo! I've had feedback from one of our group that 2pm on Sundays would be preferable. How often would we like to try to meet? Some language groups meet once a month but others meet weekly. I think I would like for us to try weekly meetings...."
