Where would you like your next mountaineering adventure to be? Is it a daydream, or a firming-up plan?

Right now my goal is to do a guided trip up Rainier.

Have you done any skiing in the backcountry -- if so, where?

Have you done any rock/ice climbing? (Not a pre-requisite, but helpful -- and you have to be willing to learn.)

I have climbed both, but only as a second.

What is your most memorable summit? (Yes, they are all memorable... But we are interested in your mountaineering/technical experience, so let us know about that hard one!)

Climbing the Osceola slide in the White Mountains. After some heavy snow in the week before, the 3 mile approach turned into a post-holing nightmare. The slide wasn't totally filled in , so there were some significant sections of vertical ice (and this was my first ice climbing trip), resulting in a few hairy falls. After topping out, we had to wrestle our way through 300 yards of dense evergreen, during which I lost a crampon, and ended up having to crawl through the trees to reach the nearest trail. We finished things up with a 4 mile trek back to the car.

I enjoy everything about being outside and am trying to up my rock and ice skills in the hopes of getting into some more serious alpine adventures.
