Please join us on July 16th in Washington DC for another exciting evening of personal self-tracking stories, tools demonstrations, and amazing conversation.

We're happy to be hosted at this great location by our friends at 1776. As always, food and alcohol will be provided over some great conversation. Come check out new gadgets and tools from innovative DC companies, and learn from people’s personal stories.

7 -7:30 pm HAPPY HALF-HOUR AND INTRODUCTIONS

Chat over food and beverages.

7:30 pm – 8:30 pm PRESENTATIONS

(1) James Norris || (avid self experimenter - see about james (http://www.jamesnorris.org/experiments/))

How many firsts do you have in your lifetime? From his first kiss to his first time meditating on top of a train, James has been tracking his novel experiences for the past 15 years. He treats it like a game and is constantly trying to level up. He’s visualized the firsts and distilled lessons learned if you too want to gamify your life.

(2) Daniel Gartenberg || Hexoskin / actiwatch giveaway

We are doing our first QS sleep study. We will be asking QSers to track their sleep with a smart phone app, galaxy gear, and/or the Hexoskin (see http://www.hexoskin.com/en ). You will receive $50 for participating in the study, in addition to a full analysis of your sleep. The purpose of the experiment is to determine if there is a way to substantially improve the quality of sleep through auditory stimulation. If you are interested - please fill out this survey (sleep survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BSY5C2F)). More information to come!

(3) Daniel Martinez || > 1800 days of Wake-Sleep cycles

Daniel has been tracking his daily time intervals of being awake, sleeping, and trying to sleep, since late April 2009 using the computer algebra system, Mathematica. His analyses and visualizations of those data are sure to be of interest to all QSers.

8:30 - 9 pm SOCIAL TIME

Talk to the speakers, chat with new and old friends, ask other people what they're tracking, and generally hang out and have a great time.

Thank you and see you there!
