Please join us on November 19th in Washington DC for another exciting evening of personal self-tracking stories, tools demonstrations, and amazing conversation.
This meetup will be hosted by our friend at the Carney Center for Performance Acceleration ( http://www.carneylabs.com/ ) - located in Alexandria VA - by the King Street Metro on the Yellow / Blue line. As always, food and beverages will be provided over some great conversation. Come check out new gadgets and tools from innovative DC companies, and learn from people’s personal self qualification stories.
6-7 pm "Learners of Alexandria" YouTube Project
Arrive early and take part in a casual 3-5 minute interview with fellow QSers John Carney and Jono Fisher in their “Learners of Alexandria” YouTube Project. The “Learners” project is focused on Cognitive QS – What do you want to learn? If you could learn something instantly, what would that be? Do you track your learning progress and how? If you could get reminders for optimal learning cues, what might they be for you? Partake in the Happy Hour before or after the interview!
Dan will also be available to talk about the study he is conducting using the an iPhone app, the Hexoskin, an Actiwatch, and Galaxy Gear.

7:30-8:30 pm PRESENTATIONS
(1) Dana Leon Leon-Guerrero || Quantifying the Classroom
Dana will discuss what she learned by tracking the behavior of her 2nd grade students.
(2) Catalin || An Improved Self
Catalin will talk about how to change daily routines in order to achieve goals of loosing weight, decreasing work-related stress levels, and getting better sleep.
(2) Nan Shellabarger || The Third Question: What did I learn?
Nan will discuss what he learned from his weight loss tracking over the course of a whoping 26 years, with an emphasis on how health challenges, major life events, and physical challenges impacted weight gain.
8:30-9 pm SOCIAL TIME
Talk to the speakers, chat with new and old friends, ask other people what they're tracking, and generally hang out and have a great time.
