My knee was still slightly sore this past weekend on the BFT. While it didn't slow me down, I'd like to give it a chance to get closer to 100% before pushing it big again, especially with Sweden on the horizon.

A friend took her GPS and got 79 miles. The trail ends 3 miles from parking, and the website says 76 miles, so that adds up too.

But is it 71 or 79 miles? What will my GPS say at the end? And who will inform me that it is "inaccurate"? I think it's funny we're doing a trip where we have no idea how long the trail is! ;)

Maps are download only, and there is a guidebook which can be ordered here:

I ordered the little book. And a patch!

Is there a book for this trail that we know of? Official maps? If so, I will order 'em.

Max, the thought is to hike north to south, meeting at the southern trail head and driving north?

I haven't looked into direction yet. Unless there is a reason to go one way or the other, I have no preference.

Very excited to be able to do this trip, Max!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
