Talk Description:

"Living the move from Guerrilla bands to Consistent Continuous Deployment"

In late 2013 the Neustar Software Development organization embarked on a transition from a traditional Development, QA and Operations style to an integrated model. This presentation will describe the context with which this transition is occurring, the challenges, the approaches being taken, and where we currently find ourselves. In particular, the talk will address the cultural, process, and organizational issues we are facing and how we are attempting to address them. The transition is ongoing, so we’ll also make make sure to address next steps in our journey. Many of our teams (the Guerrilla bands) have existing processes and personnel that have been in place for upwards of a decade which has presented its own unique challenges to implementing any cultural change.
