ABOUT THE ORGANIZER
Raised in Connecticut, Ms. Gilhuly holds a Bachelor's in journalism from University of Connecticut. During college she was a Staff Writer for the Daily Campus, an independent newspaper covering university life. At a production of 10,000 copies per day, the Daily Campus maintains the greatest circulation of all university newspapers in Connecticut. In 2004, she worked with Irish Emigrant Publications, based in Galway, Ireland, where she wrote on each of the 32 counties of Ireland in addition to country-wide news briefs.

In November 2006 Ms. Gilhuly launched the DC Fair Trade Network, a growing grassroots, trade justice advocacy network for the Washington, DC area. This network has connected, nonprofit professionals, business owners and conscious consumers working in Washington. Subsequently, she designed and continues to manage a blog for trade-justice-related news that has gained the attention of Fair Trade professionals across the country. Read the latest trade justice news at: http://www.dcmaketradefair.org

She currently works as a marketing/research assistant for a commercial real estate office in DC, while freelance writing and editing on the side.
