Welcome Riders!

What can you expect:
- Cheaper lift tickets for group events = group discounts on lodging and lift tickets
- People to ride with your skill level
- People to share gas costs and hotel room costs
- No commitment for trips (no deposit required for your typical cabin reservations), only prepayment of your lift tickets for discounted group trips
- Meet new friends
- Organize your own trips and get people to fill up spots

We're your new riding buddies. We understand the importance of establishing a community for snowboarding in this area. It's more than just creating calendar events.

All riding levels welcome, there are no fees to join the group. This is not a travel group disguised as a group to make money off of you like others in the area. There aren't any officers, or a bank account for this group. You can ride cheaper, and more often.

DC is not a breeding ground for riders, and finding a fun crew to ride with is hard. Half the fun of riding is the progression of riding with other people better than you and the experiences of each trip should be memorable; in a good way, haha.

Come out to the monthly socials to meet these other riders you'll be sharing car rides with, maybe some hotel rooms, and fun times. It's extremely important that you make an effort to come out to these things as you will be sharing car rides of 1-3 hours. Make sure you have the same interests, taste in music at least! While we are all here volunteering our time to facilitate rides, we can't bring the mountain to you. It's going to take a little bit of work but it'll be well worth it.

If you don't have a profile pic within the first two days, you will be removed from the group. We are trying to build a community and you can't be anonymous. That kind of defeats the purpose. This group is open to everyone.
