Ever been to a networking event where you're pushed with a handful of business cards, most of which you end up tossing out? What about a small business seminar where speakers drone on about something that doesn't apply to you? Well, DC Spotters wants to offer you a unique and productive forum to develop your business ... even if its still a whimsical thought.
DC Spotter is a collaborative group that rewards engaging members with relevant knowledge and insightful strategies. Our discussions foster that "eureka" moment to help overcome each individual's business obstacle - whether its a mental rut or an operational milestone. But for any collaborative group to function, there must be a level of trust among its members. After all, nobody shares information without at least getting something valuable in return.
DC Spotter is also a business networking experiment. Long-time members have seen a variety of series being launch, only to be canceled after a few attempts. The reason is simple, we haven't found a sustainable model that generates enough participation to continue with any particular format. So we keep trying.
So, we're announcing our newest project, "The Business Diary." It's an opportunity for members to introduce their business or business idea to our entrepreneurial community. You can be as abstract or as specific as you feel comfortable sharing. The objective of the Business Diary is to present a problem that you're dealing with or to share an anecdote about how you resolved a recent dilemma. It can be as short as a paragraph or as long as a multiple-page essay. In return for your submission, we'll be glad to help you advertise your business and what services and products you're company is offering among the DC Spotter network. A sample entry will be available within the next few days.
Have a great Labor Day Weekend
