Violence; A Social Norm?

Hello Everyone,

One of the four functions of myth is to promote a stable societal environment. Given the recent tragedy in Colorado, some may question in what kind of "society" are we really living in. The cohesive bond that myths are supposed to provide doesn't seem to be there.

Let's discuss the potential causes and possible courses of action that could be implemented to keep events like this from happening.
