DC Spotter is the largest pure peer to peer support group for entrepreneurs in Washington DC.

Simply put: We are where  Entrepreneurs help Entrepreneurs. 

 

You should be a member if and ONLY if:  You are an entrepreneur or an aspiring entrepreneur. 

If you are trying to sell something or just make networking connection this group is not for you.  If you do no not qualify to be a member please don't join or attend our spottups.  We ask that you respect the intention of this community. 

 

What makes us different?   We are NOT a purely networking group.  Our spottups are not just about swapping cards and small talk.   We get deep.  We get real.  We foster authentic connections.  We help one another.   We learn from one another. 

 

What's a Spottup?   We call our meeting spottups.   Each meeting is focused around one of these critical business success areas: Legal & HR, Accounting & Finance, Sales & Marketing,  Leadership & Management.  A group of spotters will be on hand to help you.  You bring your problem, we split up into groups and get to work.   If you don’t have a problem to share you get to learn and contribute in the solving of a fellow members problem.    

 

What's a Spotter?   At our spottups spotters are the problem solvers.  They are entrepreneurs that have expertise in  Legal & HR, Accounting & Finance, Sales & Marketing,  Leadership & Management. Spotters  and help spottup attendees solve the problems they bring.  Participation as a spotter is voluntary but the reward goes beyond that inner gratification in helping a fellow entrepreneur.  Gain trust, credibility and build your reputation in the community.  When you demonstrate your skill and people will think of you when there is a need for your expertise.  It’s much more effective than a flash website or a slick pitch. 

 

What type of problems can Spottee's bring?  Whatever you need the most help in.  Our spotters cover most essential business success areas.  Sales struggling? Hiring / firing employees?  Trouble with negotiations?  Worried about getting sued?  Staying motivated on those tough days?  The more difficult the challenge the more fun solving it.   

 

What's with all the "spotter" talk?  The idea of a "spotter" comes from athletic training.  Where two athletes that are training together will "spot" one another when performing difficult exercises.   The person performing the exercise pushes their limit while the spotter watches over and helps them succeed.
