Some people run for pride, glory, or accomplishment. We Run 4 Trash (and a cleaner environment)!
Ever notice how much trash there is when you're out on your morning walk/jog/run? Well, there is A LOT! That's where the DC Trash Runners come in. We come from all walks of life and all different backgrounds, but with a shared passion for taking care of our environment. We are the DC Trash Runners, but it doesn't matter how fast or slow you think you may be, we run together, pick up trash and have fun doing it.
Join us once a month as we grab our bags, tie on our shoes, move our feet, and pick up some trash. Each month we'll try to hit up a new trail or city 'hood and do our part to make DC a little bit cleaner.
It's a trashy job, but somebody's gotta do it!
Keep it clean!
Location - We'll meet directly in front of the bridge to Theodore Roosevelt Island. There is a parking lot there, accessible from northbound George Washington Parkway near Rosslyn. Or you can walk there via the Rosslyn metro stop. Walk towards Key Bridge, take a right onto the Mt. Vernon trail just before you reach Key Bridge, and walk down towards Roosevelt Island. Read more
