Tech Talk: YARN

As new technologies extend the Hadoop stack, the need for more generalized resource allocation became apparent. YARN (Yet Another Resource Negotiator) delivers this generalized resource allocation. This presentation will provide a brief history of Hadoop resource allocation and an overview of the need for YARN, as well as some of the capabilities delivered through YARN.
